Veteran Assamese singer, lyricist, and composer Syed Sadulla passed away at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Thursday. He was undergoing treatment for a serious blood-related illness and had been on ventilator support for the past few days.
Hospital sources confirmed that Sadulla was suffering from Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL), a rare blood disorder, which had led to severe breathing complications. Despite continuous medical efforts, his condition deteriorated and he breathed his last on Thursday.
