The investigation into the death of beloved singer Zubeen Garg has entered an important stage, with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) now examining the toxicology report received from Singapore. Officials say this report will play a very big role in finding out what exactly happened to the late singer during his final moments abroad.
SIT chief and Special Director General of Police Munna Prasad Gupta told reporters today that the document arrived from Singapore Police only yesterday, and experts in Assam are now going through the findings carefully. This toxicology report will show whether any harmful chemical, drug, alcohol, or foreign substance was present in Zubeen’s body at the time of his death.
Gupta said the toxicology report, along with the final post-mortem opinion also shared by Singapore authorities, will help the SIT understand the medical reasons behind the tragic incident. He described the report as a very important and sensitive document and said the team does not want to rush the findings. Officials will match these details with other medical papers and statements collected during the investigation. 
In addition to the toxicology report, the SIT has received several documents from the Singapore Port and Marine authorities. Although no details were shared publicly about these papers, the SIT chief confirmed that they may also help in connecting the dots regarding movement, timings, and circumstances before the incident.
The SIT has been questioning many people connected to the case. Till now, more than 100 individuals have been called to the CID office to give statements. Gupta said that each statement is being recorded patiently so that nothing is missed. He assured that the probe is happening with full seriousness and transparency.
