Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on Friday supported Rahul Gandhi’s concerns about rising air pollution across the country. The discussion began after Rahul Gandhi said that air pollution had become a “national catastrophe” and needed a clear and immediate national plan. He also stated that the issue was not political in nature and that all parties must work together with the Prime Minister to protect the health and future of the people.
Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, which came at a time when many cities continue to struggle under thick layers of smog, were widely discussed across political circles. He said the country needed a collective response and assured that his party was ready to cooperate with the government to create a long-term mission to address the crisis. His statement highlighted that air pollution should be treated as a shared responsibility and not as a point of blame.
Replying to this, Gaurav Gogoi posted a message saying that Parliament should be the place where ideas for the future are turned into practical solutions for today’s problems. He said the dangerous air that now covers many cities is a clear example of an issue that requires such cooperation. Gogoi thanked Rahul Gandhi for offering a different and inclusive way of thinking, one where political parties stop pointing fingers and instead work together for the larger public good.
