Several protest programmes were held at different locations in Tamulpur district on Tuesday against the alleged atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh and the reported killing of Dipu Chandra Das. The demonstrations were organised by various Hindu organisations and local groups, including the Bangali Parishad, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Hindu Jagaran Manch, Bajrang Dal and BJP workers.

In Nagrijuli’s No. 2 Bogorikhuti area, members of the Bangali Parishad, Tamulpur district unit, staged a protest by burning an effigy of Bangladesh’s interim government chief Mohammad Yunus. Protesters raised slogans such as “Bangladesh go back”, “Stop atrocities on Hindus”, and “Down with the Bangladesh government”. The protest later spread to the Kumariakata–Nagrijuli road, where slogans were shouted and the effigy was set on fire.

A separate protest was held at Darangamela near the India–Bhutan border. The programme was organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in protest against the alleged attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh and the death of Dipu Chandra Das. Demonstrators blocked parts of the international highway and burned an effigy of Mohammad Yunus, demanding strong action.
