The Assam government has decided to grant special casual leave to government employees and teachers who will be attending the 65th Annual Conference of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha as official delegates. The special leave will be available on 9 and 10 January 2026. The order has been issued by the General Administration Department after approval from the competent authority.

According to the notification, the three-day conference of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha will be held from 9 to 11 January 2026. The venue of the conference has been fixed at Thengphakhri Fwthar at Bariaogaon in Bijni under Chirang district of the Bodoland Territorial Council. This annual conference is considered an important literary event in the Bodo community and is known for its role in strengthening the Bodo language and cultural identity.
