A report has allegedly come to light that the Kuki National Army, Burma (KNA-B), has allegedly launched an attack on Manipur-based insurgent groups who are allegedly taking shelter at Teijang, a Kuki village in Myanmar. The incident allegedly began early on January 1, 2026.

Teijang is allegedly a village located under the Myothit sub-division in Sagaing province. It is allegedly around 25 kilometres north of Tamu town, which is allegedly the district headquarters. The village is allegedly only about one kilometre from the Indo-Myanmar border.

According to reports, villagers from Teijang had allegedly fled the area in 2024 to allegedly save their lives. Since then, the village has allegedly been occupied by Meitei-based separatist insurgent groups from Manipur.
