The official vehicle of Lok Sabha MP and Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi met with an accident in Jorhat while he was on his way to address a press conference at Rajiv Bhawan.
According to eyewitnesses and local reports, the car collided with a bridge railing after the driver suddenly fell ill and lost control of the vehicle. The accident, which caused a minor scare, did not result in any injuries to the MP or other passengers.
Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi was reported to have remained calm during the incident and was quick to ensure that everyone in the car was safe. Despite the mishap, he continued his journey and reached the press conference venue on time, demonstrating his commitment to the scheduled engagement. 
Speaking on the incident, Congress spokesperson Rhituparna Konwar said, “The accident was minor, and fortunately, MP Gaurav Gogoi did not sustain any injuries. The driver may have some health issues and will undergo a medical check-up to ensure his well-being.”
