The court today remanded all five accused in the mysterious death of legendary singer Zubeen Garg, including his Personal Security Officers (PSOs), to 14 days of judicial custody. The order marks a significant step in the ongoing investigation into the singer’s sudden and tragic demise.
Sources from the court confirmed that none of the accused had legal representation during the proceedings. Additionally, no bail applications were filed on their behalf. This means the five individuals will remain in custody for the full period of judicial detention as the investigation continues.
Following the court order, all five accused are expected to be lodged at Guwahati Central Jail, a standard facility used for high-profile cases. Officials have emphasized that this step is part of the formal process to ensure a thorough investigation while maintaining security and legal procedure. 
The ongoing probe is reported to be at a critical stage, with authorities planning further interrogations during this 14-day period.
The accused include Shyamkanu Mahanta and Siddharth Sharma, along with the late singer’s PSOs.
