In a deeply emotional and poetic Facebook post, Garima Garg, wife of the late singer and music icon Zubeen Garg, poured out her heart in remembrance of her husband, whose death last month left Assam and the entire Northeast in mourning. Her words have since touched the hearts of countless admirers, reflecting the pain, love, and unanswered questions that continue to surround the singer’s untimely demise.
Garima began her note with a tribute that beautifully captured the bond between Zubeen and his homeland. “The soil, the sky, the air of Assam — and now the mighty Brahmaputra… In the hearts of people and in the embrace of nature, it’s only you who dwell…” she wrote, expressing how her late husband remains forever a part of Assam’s soul. 
Zubeen Garg, one of Assam’s most beloved voices, passed away on September 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that defined generations. Known for his soulful songs, fearless views, and deep connection with Assamese culture, his death created a void that still feels unreal to fans and followers.
In her heartfelt post, Garima called Zubeen a “Son of God,” praying that he continues to keep Assam wrapped in his love and care.
