Police sources say the operation began immediately after the Delhi attack, and teams across all districts were instructed to keep watch on suspicious or provocative posts. The police added that several digital devices have been seized, and investigations are underway to find out whether any of the arrested individuals had links with organised networks.

Chief Minister Sarma said the state will not tolerate any activity that supports terrorism, directly or indirectly. He said Assam Police will continue the hunt and arrest anyone who promotes or glorifies attacks on the country.
