Demanding justice for the late artist Zubeen Garg, the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) will launch a campaign across all districts of Assam starting October 17. The campaign will feature slogans reading “Give Justice to Zubeen Garg” along with the artist’s photograph, displayed on 1 million stickers on vehicles.
On October 19, marking the one-month anniversary of the popular artist’s death, the AJYCP has announced a state-wide day-long hunger strike.
Palash Changmai, President of the Council’s Central Committee, said that while the Special Investigation Team (SIT) continues its probe, the AJYCP will carry out its campaign from October 17, placing 1 million stickers with the slogan “Give Justice to Zubeen Garg” and his photograph on vehicles across every district of the state.
On October 19, the day marking one month since Zubeen Garg’s death, the respective district committees of the AJYCP will organize a day-long hunger strike in the headquarters of every district across Assam.
