Assam Pradesh Congress Committee President and Jorhat MP Gaurav Gogoi has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident involving students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar, who fell into the Boulchol Waterfall at Harangajao.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Gogoi said the incident in which three students went missing after falling into the waterfall is extremely heartbreaking. He offered his prayers for the soul of Sarbakitika Singh, who has been found dead, and extended his deepest condolences to her family, friends, and everyone connected to NIT Silchar.
“I pray for the eternal peace of Sarbakitika Singh’s soul. I urge the NIT authorities and the administration to take every possible step to complete the rescue operation swiftly for the two students who are still missing Sauhardya Rai from Uttar Pradesh and Radhika from Bihar,” Gogoi said.
