The online movement seeking justice for late singer Zubeen Garg has now reached an extraordinary milestone. The hashtag #JusticeForZubeenGarg has been used more than 3 million times across social media platforms, making it one of the largest and most emotional digital campaigns for justice in the world.

The campaign began after Zubeen Garg’s sudden and tragic death in Singapore on September 19, 2025, where he had gone to perform at the North East India Festival. Authorities described his death as a scuba-diving accident, but fans and admirers have continued to raise questions about the real circumstances behind the incident. Many felt the explanation was too simple for someone known to be cautious, lively, and full of life.

What started as a small wave of grief-driven posts by Zubeen’s fans in Assam soon transformed into a massive global movement. Within days, people across India and abroad began sharing the hashtag, photographs, and memories of the late singer. The campaign crossed 1 million posts within a week, then 2 million by mid-October, and has now surged past the 3 million mark, showing the deep emotional connection fans share with Zubeen Garg.

From Instagram and X (Twitter) to Facebook and YouTube, thousands continue to post songs, concert clips, and emotional tributes every day. Zubeen’s wife, Garima Sakia Garg, has also appealed for a fair and transparent investigation, urging the authorities to ensure that truth and justice prevail. Many musicians, actors, and public figures have joined the online campaign, amplifying its reach and visibility.
