The demand for justice for late singer Zubeen Garg has now reached across continents, with fans and supporters in Kenya joining calls for a swift and transparent investigation. The global support comes amid rising concerns over the handling of the case following Garg’s untimely death in Singapore on September 19.
Garima Saikia Garg, the singer’s wife, has been at the forefront of the campaign. On social media, she appealed for justice within 10 days, stressing that the family and fans need clarity and closure. Her campaign, #JusticeForZubeen, has resonated not only across India but also among the international community, including Kenyan music enthusiasts and Indian diaspora groups in East Africa.
Reports indicate that several organizations in Kenya have organized virtual vigils and awareness drives, urging the authorities to ensure a transparent and prompt investigation. Supporters have expressed solidarity with the family saying that the singer’s contribution to music and culture deserves justice. 
While Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had said that the forensic report on Zubeen Garg’s viscera samples gives the SIT a “specific direction,” the contents of the report remain undisclosed.
