The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the mysterious death of celebrated singer and cultural icon Zubeen Garg on Monday clarified that his post-mortem report will not be made public and will be directly submitted to the court.
Speaking to the media, SIT Chief and Special DGP of CID, Munna Prasad Gupta, said that the investigation is moving forward quickly and strictly according to legal procedures. “The post-mortem report will not be released at 4 PM tomorrow as was speculated. The SIT has already received the report, and it will be submitted before the court,” Gupta stated, putting an end to circulating rumors.
Gupta further said that several key individuals connected to the case have arrived for questioning, with more expected in the coming days. “In the next two days, more people will arrive. There is also a possibility that one individual from Singapore will reach today,” he said. 
The SIT Chief added that permission has been sought to continue the investigation in Singapore. “An investigation is also underway in Singapore, and all necessary information has been shared with the authorities there. Once permission is granted, the SIT will visit Singapore for further inquiries,” he explained.
On the procedural front, Gupta said that individuals currently in 14-day custody cannot be re-interrogated at this stage, in line with legal rules. He said that the investigation is guided by the expert committee’s report, and all procedural requirements are being strictly followed.
