The National People’s Party (NPP) has officially announced the nomination of Shri Kh. Loken Singh, Hon’ble Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), as the Chief Whip of the party in the Manipur Legislative Assembly. The decision was made unanimously and takes immediate effect.
The party’s national president, Conrad K. Sangma, issued the formal communication from the party headquarters at PA Sangma Building, Bivar Road, Polo Hills, Shillong. The announcement was conveyed through a letter addressed to Shri Thokchom Satyabrata Singh, the Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, requesting that the nomination be taken on record and necessary action be carried out by the Speaker’s office.
In the letter, it was stated that Kh. Loken Singh’s appointment as Chief Whip is expected to strengthen party coordination and ensure smooth functioning of the legislative agenda in the assembly. The NPP leadership described the nomination as a unanimous decision, reflecting the confidence of the party members in Shri Singh’s abilities to maintain party discipline and facilitate legislative discussions effectively. 
Thokchom Satyabrata Singh, Hon’ble Speaker of the Manipur Assembly, acknowledged the communication, and the nomination is now officially recorded.
